OSM data elements
Node
Defines a specific geographic location represented by latitude and
longitude.
Way
Is an ordered list of nodes, that represent either a linear feature (road,
water well) or boundaries of areas (buildings, forests, roundabouts).
Relation
Represents a relationship between nodes, ways or relations.

How to define geographic attributes?
A data element meaning is defined by using various tags.
A tag consist of a key-value pair (example: amenity=library)
