By now we all believe mobile technology, self-driving cars, artificial intelligence, smart sensors and the internet of things will change our world in the coming years, but how will it impact brands and their marketing communication in general?

Hi. We are Barnyard, a digital craftsmen agency.
At our best when using the endless new possibilities of tech.
Creating relevant interactions for brands and their customers.
We engineer digital opportunities. From brainstorm to return-on-internet.
Growing digital and mobile wonders in our farmhouse.
Mobile or wearable apps, smart packaging, sensor based experiences?
You name it, we’ll craft it. Pixel perfect.
4. #1 Self-Driving cars
#1 self-driving cars: who will be working in the
car if they don't have to drive anymore? Who will
be watching Netflix? Many we predict. But who
will still be listening to the radio? And who will
see the billboards in the street? Very few we
predict...

5. #2 Digital is a drug
#2 Digital is a drug: digital and mobile in
particular is designed by companies like Apple,
Facebook, Google,... to make you addicted. It's
even biologic. Checking our phones and social
media releases dopamine in our bodies. The most
addictive chemical in the human body.
The impact on marketing? All attention is
going to our little screens, even during a
baseball game...

6. #3 The bots take over
#3 When the bots take over: hey @slackbot please remind me to
call back Jonathan at 2pm. It's just the beginning of bots helping us to
become super humans.
Facebook is bringing the bots to the mass with Facebook M, a bot in
your Facebook messenger app you can ask to make restaurant
reservations, hotel recommendations and so much more.
What's the big deal? Facebook announced their messenger app is only
1% finished at the moment (summer 2015). That's the big deal!
We expect brands to jump on the waggon and have their own
bots servicing clients in an always on economy like never before.

7. #4 The Internet of Things
#4 Internet of Things: We could make 5
presentations only about what the internet of
things will change. The biggest opportunity for
brands?
Sensors are becoming the size of a penny at the
cost of 2 pennies. Which makes connected
products also in reach of FMCG's and retailers
that sell low margin products.

8. #5 Smart sensors
#5 Smart sensors: Google is making conductive
textiles with Levi's. A simple piece of textile that
can connect to your smartphone and by swiping
your pants, you can answer your phone or
whatever you want.
Really geeky at the moment, but we are sure
levi's already has some ideas on how to make
this technology relevant for their customers
and helping it to meet their objectives.

9. #6 The no screen user interface
#6 the no screen interface: We think of digital as
screens and apps, forget about it, by 2020 a lot of
digital communication will be screenless.

10. #7 Background apps & SDKs
Facebook’s Notify app Sentiance - just landed 5 million dollar from Samsung
#7 Background apps & SDk's: We predict a lot
of apps will pop-up that you only open once, keep
them installed on your phone and in the
background they will track you, notify you and
automatically do stuff for you based on your
location and settings.
