HL Tasks - Classroom tasks
HL is to prepare them for lesson in which they
are going to take a proactive part in and even
lead.
Some ideas I have used and am currently
working on..
Interactive class tasks after a
‘flipped HL’
The good old TEST - have they learned the content??
Create cue cards (*definition**Interpretations***Analysis)
Running dictations
Flowcharts (may with missing explanations)
‘Just a minute’ presentations
Question Time - students organise questions/ characters
Market stalls selling revision merchandise where cutomers (students)
have a budget to buy the best merchandise
Radio show
Interviews - speed date style
Stimuli
If the students are going to find out information
from different sources what type of stimuli are
you going to use?
books, texts, youtube, your videos, experts,
photos, primary sources.
Please make a list with practical examples
Fronter - give them the tools/
remove the excuses
Consequences
You have had the confidence to set a
meaningful HL on which your next lesson
depends. Liam has not done his HL…
Pre planned lesson/ task for Liam to do -
mundane but useful, textbook work.

  • 5. Pre-learning/ reading up/ flipped classroom ❏Home learning tasks, linked to classroom tasks ❏Stimuli - types of stimuli that will inspire and support ❏Consequences - what do you do with those that are not prepared ❏Differentiation - how has the HL catered for LAS, AJ, MAS
  • 6. HL Tasks - Classroom tasks HL is to prepare them for lesson in which they are going to take a proactive part in and even lead. Some ideas I have used and am currently working on..
  • 7. Interactive class tasks after a ‘flipped HL’ The good old TEST - have they learned the content?? Create cue cards (*definition**Interpretations***Analysis) Running dictations Flowcharts (may with missing explanations) ‘Just a minute’ presentations Question Time - students organise questions/ characters Market stalls selling revision merchandise where cutomers (students) have a budget to buy the best merchandise Radio show Interviews - speed date style
  • 8. Stimuli If the students are going to find out information from different sources what type of stimuli are you going to use? books, texts, youtube, your videos, experts, photos, primary sources. Please make a list with practical examples
  • 9. Fronter - give them the tools/ remove the excuses
  • 10. Consequences You have had the confidence to set a meaningful HL on which your next lesson depends. Liam has not done his HL… Pre planned lesson/ task for Liam to do - mundane but useful, textbook work. Use of detentions, dept policy/ tutors 6th form - don’t let them in SHOW YOU MEAN BUSINESS
  • 11. Differentiation LAS, AJ, MAS - how are they all going to learn effectively next lesson? Takeaway HL Differentiated tasks Different roles within the group * definitions ** interpretations *** analysis
