2. Enemy’s & Allies
 Great Britain/United Kingdom- There relationship with France was an off and
on one, until the 19th century when they helped France get rid of their Nazi
infestation.

3. France’s most convincing/influential
leaders
 Aristide Briand- a French Statesmen, his main objective was to eliminate war
from the international arena
 Another leader was Charles de Gaulle- he had amazing leadership skills and
he used those skills to climb up in the military ranks. He rose so much that
eventually he became president.

4. Government
 Frances government hopped between republican and imperial government
through out this time period.

5. Loss and gain of power
 1830, King Charles flees France because of the middle class uprising (loss)
 1842, lots of northern Iraq, parts of the Ottoman/Turkish empire is
undertaken by France, many sculptures are shipped to London and Paris
 1895, Felix Faure begins his tern as president
 1910, France made a boat, the SS France, as big as the Titanic, was a soon to
be popular boat
 1914, Aug 9 Battle of Mulhouse begins which is the beginning of World War 1
