The kiwi bird lives in burrows in New Zealand forests and eats worms, spiders, and crayfish. Its predators include cats, dogs, stoats, ferrets, pigs, rats, and possums. The kiwi uses its nose on its beak to smell prey underground and catches them by snapping its beak.
