17. Generic description of the maturity levels Technology allows our organisation in some areas to realise benefits which, in its absence, would be harder to achieve. This is on an ad hoc, case-by-case basis and particularly true for indirect learner benefits. Technology allows our organisation to realise and continue to sustain benefits in some areas, including direct benefits to the learner. This repeatability tends to rely on pockets of knowledge. Technology is transformative for our organisation, clearly contributing to positive learner outcomes. Our offer is significantly better through the use of technology and we our organisation is a leader amongst our peers, community and target catchments. Technology allows our organisation to realise direct and indirect benefits which, in its absence, would not otherwise be possible. This is across the organisation and not reliant on pockets of knowledge.

Title slide of presentation. In the physical world it’s relatively straightforward to work out what the duty of care towards young people might mean and what precautions to take. The virtual world is more demanding, if only because the range of activities that learners can do online is expanding and changing. This is a good thing in itself, opening opportunities for learning and creativity, but it also means thinking ahead of new risks.
