12. Applications
Conserve Thru Control
North Adams, MA
Geo Thermal Application
TFX Ultras used to measure and control
geo-thermal HVAC system. EPA also
requires building owner to report ground
water usage.
Well water can carry dirt and ice which
destroys inline meters.
13. Applications
Client: Valley Water – Plainville, CT.
Municipal Water Application
High velocity – no straight runs
TFX Ultra replaced 901 Doppler
Result: Improved accuracy
14. Applications
P&G Gillette Beauty & Grooming
Boston, MA
Gillette’s sustainability project requires
measurement and control of city water and
process loops in 100 year old plant.
Potential sale for 17 measurement points.
Most lines cannot be shut down without
halting production.
15. Applications
Ulster Uniform Service
Kinston, NY
Industrial Laundry
Since a high percentage of the water is
evaporated through their dryers, Ulster
uses a TFX Ultra meter to report waste
water usage to save on their sewage bill.
16. Mercedes-Benz plant, Istanbul, TURKEY
Challenge:
Customer dissatisfied with in-line BTU meters to measure energy
use through their 15 cogeneration lines. Considered to be
high maintenance and were not thought to be reliable.
Solution: TFXE w/ DTTN, Clamp-on RTDs
Easy installation, no process shut-down, and seamless drop-in to
their Siemens SCADA system via standard Modbus RTU were
seen as key advantages in selecting Dynasonics.

20. Genoa, Illinois WWTP
Use clamp-on meters to
prove output and
performance of new pump;
DFX Doppler and Transit
time TFX Ultra both utilized,
due to suspected pump
cavitation. Meters showed a
disparity, helped identify
debris caught within the
pump.

Operations
Wyco Way Ahead Presentation
I have presented to all of the employees the Wyco Way Ahead program. The presentation went well and the employees clearly understood what was expected of them now and in the future.
Wyco Management Presentation Format
You are witnessing the new Wyco Management meeting format. Will tweak as we move forward with it.
Roles and Responsibilities
Started with the reprocessing of the roles and responsibilities of the Wyco team (Sales, Assembly, Machine Shop, and Production) to fall in line with lean principle process mappings and the work force reduction program for 2009 ~ 2010.
Stock Bin Locations
The stock bin location program continues to be developed. We just need to finalize the locations in the excel spreadsheet that will be uploaded by MIS into Fourth Shift. The assemblers have been assigned the duty of conducting the cycle counts within their respected areas.
Automated Parts Consumption/Allocation Process
We will continue to get this automated system on the shop floor as soon as possible. (?) {Do we still have a go to make this happen – most prudent to do now}.
Lean Manufacturing Training and Processing
The week after next we will start to process value added mapping, gap analysis, and work flow processing.
Increased Machine Shop Loading Program
We have taken on the mission of bringing in more parts from the outside into the machine shop. We continue to process quotes and evaluate parts that can be made by Wyco.
