• Sand/ belt paper
• Angle bar
• Hollow bar
• Wooden log ( wide diameter)
• Bolts and nuts
• Chain Saw
• Sander/ belt sander
• Compressor ( Spray Gun)
• Router
• Drop Saw
• Welding Machine

3. • Use a sturdy and even piece of log
– in the shape of a cylinder.
• Use a chain saw and slice
the log vertically into 4-5
pieces.

4. • Sand the surface of the planks to make it even.
• Apply a good coat of shellac on this using a spray gun.
• With this, the surface on the bench is well prepared.

5. • Use drop saw to cut 8 pieces of the size given.
• Weld the corners to make two square frames
of the same size.
• Prepare one middle support using box section.
• Connect this to the two squares at the
middle to form the base.
• Refer to the diagram for more clarity.
• Spray paint the finished metal frame.
• Now we go about making the steel framework.

6. • Use a router to make ridges to fit the metal frame to the plank.
• Fit the plank onto the metal frame using bolt and nut/ self tapping nut.
Doesn’t the finished bench look inviting to rest on after all this work???
