3. For my poster I chose to have just one main image
placed centrally. This draws the attention of the
audience to the poster and also follows conventions
of other posters by having one key image of a main
character.
As well as this I chose to centre the title of
the film at the bottom of the page in black. This is so
it adheres to the colour scheme of black and white
or generally dark colours which is usually used in
horror trailers. This reflects the atmosphere and
genre of the trailer and also shows continuity from
the magazine.
I chose to have the name of both of the
actors in the top corners of the window frame, this
shows that one of the main focuses of the marketing
campaign is the actors which again shows
continuity from the magazine because the main
focus of the front cover is Chris, one of the actors.
4. The background of the poster is a gloomy forest. This
reflects the genre of the trailer and along with the font
shows continuity and consistency because it is spooky.
I initially had the image of the girl simply
placed directly in the centre of the screen, however I later
decided that it would look better if I refined the edges to
make it seem smoother and as if the image of the girl was
directly related to the background.
Finally, I selected not to revel a date and to
have the text saying “In Cinemas Soon” at the top of the
poster. This creates a sense of anticipation for the
audience rather then saying a set date the it arrives in
cinemas.
I selected to have the tagline of the film also
centrally aligned but each word on separate lines and
with and effect on it that made it stand out and glow.
This emphasises it and adds a sense of paranormalness
because it is spread out.

6. For my magazine, I chose to follow the
conventions of a mass market film magazine, this
helps to make it more of a cohesive package along
with the poster and trailer. I chose to aim my
magazine at the mass market because during my
research I found that this would be the most
beneficial to my genre of trailer rather then have a
niche market because the horror genre is watched
by 100% of people that I conducted my market
research on.
There is also continuity of the font of the
title “Apprehension” This shows brand identity
and also allows people to identify the film at a
glance rather then having to think about it. I also
selected to have it in red. This is so that it stands
out not only as the key cover line but it also
represents the genre of the film.
7. I chose to have the ** in white, this is again so it
stands out against the black background of the
main actors shirt. The text its self also has
relevance in the way that it only says “Jevons”
and not his first name; this would suggest that
he is a well known actor and reinforces the fact
that he is the main feature of the magazine. It
also has relevance to the film its self, this is
because it says “why we should be waiting”
when the tagline of the film is “She Was
Waiting…”
