  1. 1. DEFINITION:An industrial dispute may be defined as a conflict ordifference of opinion between management andworkers on the terms of employment. It is adisagreement between an employer and employeesrepresentative; usually a trade union, over pay andother working conditions and can result in industrialactions. When an industrial dispute occurs, both theparties, that is the management and the workmen, tryto pressurize each other.
