3. ข้อมูลเบื้องต้นเกี่ยวกับรหัส DOI
(Digital Object Identifier)
• มำตรฐำน ISO 26324 : 2012
• DOI ได้รับการรับรองเป็นมาตรฐานสากล ISO 26324 เมื่อ 1 พฤษภำคม 2555
• ปัจจุบันมีการให้เลขรหัส DOI แล้วจานวน 60 ล้านชื่อ/รายการ(2512) ปัจจุบัน
(2513) 85 ล้ำนชื่อใน 9,500 องค์กร
• จานวนการป้ อนข้อมูลเพื่อสืบค้นเลขรหัส DOI จาก Handle system
(dx.doi.org) จานวน 87 ล้านครั้งต่อเดือน
• จานวนเลขรหัส prefix มี 213,000 ชื่อ (ภายใต้การจัดการของ Registration
agencies 9 แห่ง)
• จานวนการใช้ Short DOI มีมากกว่า 21 ล้านรายการ ส่วนใหญ่ใช้ผ่าน Crossref

1.DOI คืออะไร
Digital Object Identifier (DOI) หรือ DOI name เป็นมาตรฐาน
ใหม่ของ ISO 26324:2012 ในการระบุชื่อไฟล์ดิจิทัล(digital object)
เป็นข้อมูลการจัดเก็บและการอ้างถึงในลักษณะคล้ายๆการกาหนดเลขประจาหนังสือ
(ISBN)และเลขประจาวารสาร(ISSN)
ระบบDOI จึงเป็นกรอบที่ระบุสื่อดิจิทัลที่บันทึกเนื้อหา(objects of content)
ที่ช่วยให้รู้ว่าสื่อดิจิทัลนั้นจัดเก็บไว้ที่ใดและจะเข้าถึงได้อย่างไร
ระบบDOIจึงช่วยในการจัดการเนื้อหา (content management)จัดการ
ฐานข้อมูล และเมตะดาตา ที่เชื่อมโยงผู้ใช้เข้าหาผู้ผลิตและแหล่งผลิตเนื้อหาคือผู้จัดพิมพ์
หรือสานักพิมพ์ ซึ่งช่วยในการทาพาณิชย์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์และการจัดการข้อมูล

7. 2.ความเป็นมาของ Digital Object Identifier
มูลนิธิ ไอดีเอฟ (International DOI Foundation: IDF)
ก่อตั้งขึ้นในปี 1998 (2541) เพื่อสนับสนุนความต้องการของชุมชน
ด้านทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาทางดิจิทัลจึงได้พัฒนาระบบ DOI ขึ้นมาเพื่อ
เป็นโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านการจัดการเนื้อหาทางดิจิทัล
มูลนิธิตั้งขึ้นมาเป็นองค์กรไม่แสวงหาผลกาไร ดาเนินงานโดย
กรรมการบริหารที่ได้รับการเลือกตั้งจากองค์กรสมาชิก สมาชิกเป็น
สมาคมสานักพิมพ์ซึ่งเปิดรับทุกองค์กรที่มีความสนใจในการพัฒนา
เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ เนื้อหาดิจิทัลและการพิมพ์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์

8. องค์กรที่สนับสนุนเทคโนโลยีระบบ DOI
พัฒนาโดย CNRI (Corporation for National Research
Initiatives - non-profit, federally-funded research
organization based in Reston, VA)
ผู้ริเริ่มคือ Dr. Robert Kahn, one of principal inventors of
the Internet (co-inventor of TCP/IP & packet
switching, builder of the ARPAnet) ทำหน้ำที่
President’s Internet Advisory Council)
ระบบDOI มีหลักการคล้ายๆระบบ DNS: a distributed global
directory, แต่สามารถเพิ่มจานวนการเติบโตได้มากกว่า
เริ่มใช้ในทางธุรกิจสานักพิมพ์ในปี 1997 (2540)

ร่วมกับองค์กรต่างๆเช่น International Publishers

11. ต่อมา IDF ได้ทางานร่วมกับองค์กร CNRI ( Corporation for
National Research Initiatives) ในการพัฒนาระบบ
Handle System เพื่อใช้เป็นองค์ประกอบสาคัญทางเทคนิคของ
ระบบ DOI ในปีต่อมาคือ 1998-2000 IDF ร่วมกับ indecs
project ได้กาหนด Indecs framework เป็น Data
model องค์กรที่เป็น Registration Agency แห่งแรกเริ่มขึ้น
ในปี 2000 โดยการเชื่อมโยงบทความวารสารเรียกว่า CrossRef

• เดือนมีนาคม 2555 IDF ได้เห็นชอบให้ The Institute of
Scientific and Technical Information of China
(ISTIC) เป็น DOI Registration Agency เช่นเดียวกับ
The Japan Link Center โดย Japan Science and
Technology Agency (JST) ซึ่งเป็นองค์กรของรัฐที่ทาหน้าที่
เผยแพร่ข้อมูลทางวิทยาศาสตร์และทางวิชาการ ให้แก่องค์กรที่
เกี่ยวข้องเช่น libraries, universities, research
institutes, commercial publishers and public
information providers.

14. อุตสาหกรรมบันเทิงใช้มาตรฐาน EIDR และเมทาดาทา
• มาตรฐาน EIDR (The Entertainment ID Registry)
ร่วมกับระบบ DOI กาหนดเลขรหัสประจาไฟล์ภาพยนตร์และรายการ
โทรทัศน์ ในเดือนมีนาคม 2555 โดยบริษัท Red Bee Media
รวมถึง Warner Bros, Universal และ Walt Disney
Studiosได้ตกลงใช้รหัส EIDR ที่พัฒนาตามมาตรฐาน ISO
DOI ในการกาหนดเมทาดาทาให้แก่ไฟล์ภาพยนตร์และรายการ
โทรทัศน์ โดยการเชื่อมโยงเนื้อหาเข้ากับผู้ชม

15. โครงการห้องสมุดดิจิทัล Europeana.eu
DOI ร่วมกับโครงการห้องสมุดดิจิทัล Europeana.eu ในการ
กาหนดมาตรฐานการเข้าถึงข้อมูลที่มีมากกว่า 23 ล้านรายการจาก

17. วัตถุประสงค์ของการใช้รหัส DOI
• เพื่อควำมเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของเอกสำรดิจิทัล (uniqueness) มี
กำรจัดกำรระบบโดยใช้ handle (resolution) มีกำรใช้งำน
ร่วมกัน( interoperability) และควำมคงที่ของข้อมูล
(persistence) การกาหนดรหัสประจาของเอกสารดิจิทัลจึงทาให้
เกิดความสะดวกในการค้นหา การสร้างระบบเชื่อมโยงไฟล์ดิจิทัล การ
ทา transaction ทางธุรกิจเช่นการซื้อ ขาย การจัดเก็บและเผยแพร่
ไฟล์ดิจิทัลในระยะยาว โดยไม่เสียเวลาในการเปลี่ยน location ที่
จัดเก็บ เมื่อมีการย้ายไฟล์ไปไว้ที่อื่น และให้ความสะดวกในการรวบรวม
เอกสารดิจิทัลเพื่อประโยชน์ทางวิชาการและการวิจัย
