the wake of the COP26 climate summit, during which global leaders made huge commitments to green energy and carbon neutrality, this year's CES will have a distinct focus on sustainability. Big brands from GM to Samsung will discuss their sustainability efforts, and a number of sessions will focus on green technology.
"Tech is empowering us to ask big questions about our world," said Shapiro. "How can we create more sustainable practices and reduce our environmental footprint?" It's the kind of question founders should ask themselves as consumers become more environmentally aware. As Shapiro said, it's not only the right thing to do, it's the smart thing to do.
Sepura Home has transformed the conventional garbage disposal unit into an all-in-one home composting system. Meanwhile, the ZamString guitar has a fretboard that lights via input from a song, making it easy to figure out where to put your fingers. It's not a new concept, but perhaps the first to marry both the learning and collaboration aspects.

Piloto, meanwhile, is what Samsung calls an "AI solution that helps children develop proper smartphone usage habits." The aim is to teach kids "self-regulation skills" on smart devices to help them make good choices. Finally, Innovision is "a daily life eye-care system with a nursery mobile to catch suspicious symptoms of the strabismus and monitor visual ability development status for babies." That seems like a smart idea, since babies gaze natural towards mobiles.
