1. Research for different real world technology modelling simulations.
Modelling should be accompanied by photos.
Modelling – a program which has been developed to copy the way a system
works in real life.
Simulation- computer simulations use computer models to also predict how
a system will behave given a set of conditions. They are created through
mathematical formulas.
Examples of Computer Modelling
Designing safer cars:
Can be used to test how safe the design of the car is in crash. In addition,
the virtual car can be crashed infinitely until the valid and safest. design is
created. This is much quicker and cheaper than building and crashing real
cars.
2. Weather Forecasting:
A computer model of a weather system can be used to predict storms. The
wind patterns, temperatures, for the whole planet are stimulated bu using
powerful computers.
Running a business:
A computer model of a business can be used to help predict future profits. If
the working of a business can be modelled validly, the financial systems,
then they can be used to give answer to questions like: what if? Etc.
Spreadsheets are often used to model the financial systems of a business.
3. Bridge Design:
These models can be used to test the design. If these bridges can survive
extreme weather conditions. Furthermore, they are tested to see if they can
cope heavy traffic by using a jam of virtual trucks.
Training Pilots:
Trainee pilots have many hours of lesson in flight simulators before flying a
real airplane. Flight simulators can provide a pilot with realistic flying
situations: storms, engine failures, low cloud hiding the way.
