However, lipstick has another magic power - to leave nasty stains when

the couch. Here is how to deal with this.

With a butter knife gently
scrape off as much as
possible. Don't scrub or
rub. Start from the outer
edge and work inwards.

Treat with bleach or colour-
safe bleach and let soak for 5
minutes. You may use also
dish soap or laundry prewash
stain remover.
Launder as usual. If the stain
persists, don't let it dry, treat
and wash again.

For carpets and upholstery, sponge
cleaning solvent on the stain. Test on a
hidden area first to make sure it is safe.
Blot with wet then dry clean white cloth.
Repeat till the stain is removed.
