Trifexis Flea Control for Dogs
Trifexis is a beef flavored chewable tablet that offers
three-in-one protection against various parasites. It
kills and prevents fleas, prevents heartworm infections
and treats and controls gastrointestinal worms
including hookworms, roundworms and whipworms.
Administered on a monthly basis, the chewable starts
acting within 30 minutes of administration and
destroys 100% fleas within 4 hours.
How does it work?
Each chewable contains Spinosad and milbemycin
oxime as the active ingredients. Spinosad with
adulticidal property kills adult fleas by attacking their
nervous system. It destroys adult fleas before they can
lay eggs and thus reduce egg production to a bare
minimum. With a continued activity for four weeks,
this insecticide prevents flea infestations by breaking
the flea life cycle.
How does it work?
Milbemycin oxime is an antiparasitic endectocide that
destroys the larval and adult stages of intestinal
worms. It also wipes off the larval stages of
heartworms and thus prevents heartworm infections
in dogs. The combined effect of the two ingredients
makes Trifexis one of its kinds of chewable used for
treating mixed infections and infestations.
How does it work?
Each chewable tablet contains at least 30 mg/Kg of
Spinosad and 0.5 mg/Kg of Milbemycin Oxime.
