INDIAN EQUITY BENCHMARK snapped their three-day losing streak to end marginally higher. Growth rate of industrial production slowed to 0.5% versus 3.4% in the month of June. The Consumer Price Index (CPI)-based inflation has declined to 7.8%in August from 7.96% in July.
Further, Jaiprakash Associates fell over 3%, after Goldman Sachs downgrades Jaiprakash to ' neutral' from ' buy' and removes from Asia Pacific buy list.

Asian stock markets traded mixed on the final trading day of the week, following an uninspiring US lead.
European stocks were mixed, as the announcement of fresh European and U.S. sanctions against Russia continued to weigh and as markets awaited the outcome of the upcoming referendum on Scottish independance.
U.S. stocks market were ended mixed on fears that conflicts in Ukraine and in the Middle East may slow recovery, though investors shrugged off disappointing weekly jobless claims, viewing the data as glitch in an otherwise sustained U.S. recovery that won't alter monetary policy
