What is the text structure of the following texts?
Deviled Eggs
Pop out (remove) the egg yolks to a small bowl and mash with a fork.
Add mayonnaise, mustard powder, vinegar, salt and pepper and mix thoroughly. Fill the empty egg white
shells with the mixture and sprinkle lightly with paprika. Cover lightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for
up to one day before serving.
Sports at Ericson
There are two popular sports played at Ericson, basketball and volleyball.
Both take place inside of the gym at Ericson. Also, each sport has two teams of people. In basketball,
however, the ball can be played off of the floor, and in volleyball, the ball cannot touch the floor or it is out of
play. Basketball and volleyball are popular sports at Ericson.
I feel that women need to learn their place and stay at home in the kitchen. It's a man's world out there and
they need to realize this. Jobs are becoming ever harder for people to find so save them for the real
breadwinners. Men. Who here agrees with me?
The most successful person in my family was my father. He born in a log cabin in 1936 My father began
school at the age of seven. Shortly after that he broke his leg. He was president of his high school class and
then enrolled at Harvard. Upon graduation married my mother. That is why I am here today.
The Hard Life of Farmers
The lack of rain and snow has horrible effects on farmers. With no rain their land dries up, and it is very
difficult to grow anything. When the crops fail, the farmers haven't any choice but to get a second job in order
to make the money they need. Farming is a full time job and with a second job, farmers are overworked,
stressed and even depressed. Many farmers end up selling their land. Some farmers have accepted the
government program the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), which is the land is left idle to let the grass
grow and must be left idle a certain number of years. While the land is in the CRP program, some farmers
have taken outside jobs. That is why when it doesn't rain; you notice that most of the farmers are very
crabby. As a farmer's daughter, I have experienced some good times and some bad times. I have gained a
great respect for farmers everywhere.
The great white shark is a streamlined swimmer and a ferocious predator with 3,000 teeth at any one time.
This much-feared fish has a torpedo-shaped body, a pointed snout, a crescent-shaped tail, 5 gill slits, no fin
spines, an anal fin, and 3 main fins: the dorsal fin (on its back) and 2 pectoral fins (on its sides). When the
shark is near the surface, the dorsal fin and part of the tail are visible above the water.
