9. Normal or Virtual meetings? The choice depends on simple criteria : For short meetings it is often much more effective to have a webconference. Also remember that it’s often more effective to have two 1 hour meetings remotely than one that lasts 2 hours face-to-face. does the meeting last all day or can the meeting be combined with other (usefull) business at the same location then maybe you’d be better of meeting face-to-face. Duration of the meeting: If the participants are in many different locations and/or travel a lot it is very interesting to replace normal meetings with webconference meetings If all participants are in the same place and available at the same time it might be easier to book a meeting room (provided you have one available). Location of the participants: Information exchange, project / follow-up and recurring meetings are ideal for virtual meetings. When motivational or influencing aspects are the main factors of your meeting (management, process, sale ) then still try to meet your participants face-to-face on a regular basis. March 7, 2011 We work together with our clients to define the measures of success: These measures are translated into Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). On a regular basis (according to our client’s needs) we give the organisation feedback on these KPI’s. If the measures are good, no action is required necessarily but we could increase the bar. If the measures are down in comparison to the last period or in comparison to the set objectives, we will work together with the project champion to discuss measures to improve the results.s
