* 2nd grade mainstream students, between the ages of 7
and 8. 14 boys and 11 girls, 75% white 14 % African-
American, 11% Latino. 4 students have ADHD.
*Specific entry competencies
* Analyze students and find out if they have ever read any
Dr. Seuss books. If they have read Dr. Seuss ask what
books they have read so you don’t put them in a group
with that book. Find out, also, what they know about Dr.
Seuss.
*Learning styles
* Hands on technology, group work, and roll play.

*My students will be able to identify rhymes and when to
use voice expression while reading out loud by acting out
Dr. Seuss books. Students will be hands on with
technology by using Flip cameras, PowerPoint, and
making robots and will master these skills at a 90%
accuracy by the end of the two weeks.
