2. BUYING
For this project in Buying I had to take over
the relaunching of the mens section of Perry’s
Department Store. I had to hone in on my
target audience and come up with 3 customer
profiles. Trend research was also key in this
project, I had to predict colors, fabrics,
silhouettes and styles, and the mega trend for
2012. Finally I had to determine the
product breakdown as well as sales forecasts
and BOM stocks.

6. RAPID VISUALIZATION
This class focused on the process of quickly designing a collection through
inspiration, trends, and market research. I had chose to design a Fall/Winter
2012 line for ZARA MAN and through the research of their product and
styles I predicted what the key pieces would be for that season. The final
product of this project was a presentation showing my inspiration which
came from nature and the organic elements of New England playing with
different textures and the colors seen in fall while keeping away from black, as
well as fabric swatches and ultimately the final designs.

8. TREND FORECASTING
In trend forecasting we focused on how to
spot trends and fads going on in the industry.
For this project my concept was on the prem-
ise that natural disasters and harsh elements
would be the driving force for fabrics and
clothing styles that we would see. The two
looks I designed were made to look slightly
torn and tattered while still being functional
and fashion forward, and the color palette
chosen was an organic blend of colors coming
straight from the earths palette.

10. STORE DESIGN
For this store design class I had to come together with a partner to develop a concept for a retail store and bring that
to fruition through the fixtures, layout, atmosphere, and overall design. After deciding on our brands identity my sche-
matics and fixture design came to life in the 3-d SketchUp model by my partner. With this old-school, haberdashery
men’s shop we created the ideal destination for the modern man.
