Recent Herald articles have described the efforts that are put into the
running of the Churches on the Hill Food Bank, and notices
in the Bulletin have drawn attention to the collection of in-
kind donations that are always greatly appreciated.
We are looking for new volunteers who could help existing
ones in the distribution of items to the needy clients for about two hours
on Wednesday mornings.
It is run by a Team Captain each Wednesday and, typically, each volunteer
helps on a monthly basis. Alternatively, some, rather than coming
regularly once a month, help in response to calls arising from time to time
because a regular volunteer can’t, for some reason, make it on a
particular Wednesday.
If you feel that you would like to volunteer on a regular or a response
basis, please feel free to call Ben Dibben at 416-485-6527. No contribution
from anybody in time or effort would be too small.
Yorkminster Park Meals on Wheels requires volunteer drivers
to deliver Meals on Wheels in this community during the
months of July and August. Meals are delivered between
10:30 am and 12:30 pm daily, Monday to Friday. Please call 416
482-0549 if you can spare two hours weekly or on an
occasional basis to help on any of the delivery days.
If you are able to drive a parishioner(s) or know someone who would like
a ride to church on Sunday mornings please speak to the Reverend Julie
Meakin.
Fall Rummage Sale – October 5
We welcome now your Fall/Winter clothing items, as well
