2. “Boy…Do you have anything meaningful to say or are you talking just to hear your head rattle?”

3. Those words have been on my mind a lot recently…

4. When I began this blog in October 2008, I sent the link to less than ten people. Today, these writings are being read in over forty countries…

5. And a core readership of over five-hundred people. What an amazing thing for a simple man like me to behold. I could not have imagined this when I started the journey.

6. I have laughed. I have cried. I have grown in Him…

7. And hopefully the core mission of this blog has been fulfilled… To encourage others to seek a closer relationship with God.

8. I am in a season in my life where the Holy Spirit is quiet. So I asked myself the question, “Are you going to write just to hear your head rattle so people will have something to read or are you going to wait upon the LORD?”

9. I looked down at the line dividing Spirit and self and saw my toe touching it.

10. I am not going to write about God just to hear my head rattle. There are too many people doing it already. I fear the LORD, so I am stepping away from the line to wait on Him…

11. After much prayer and seeking God, I have peace with taking an extended hiatus from writing. LORD willing, I will be back writing again December 1, 2009.
