Mobility in the uk book pages
1. Mobility to the UK
The local newspaper came to find out about our Comenius
project. We had our photo taken holding our flags.
Our visitors looked around our
school and saw some of our activi-
ties. They joined in with our activities
indoors and outside and asked lots
of questions
We learnt some songs familiar
to the countries of our partners
with Mrs Ritson. We also had a
big welcome assembly for our
guests. We sang songs from
each country.
2. Our guests walked around Morpeth and visited the town
hall. They met with the Mayor who is also Chair of Gover-
nors at the school and asked lots of questions. We showed
them around Morpeth and they visited the Northumber-
landia sculpture
In the evening we held a ceilidh for our guests with tradi-
tional English and Northumbrian food. There was may
pole dancing and traditional Scottish dancing. Monica
taught us the Swedish frog song and dance.
3. We went by coach to Alnwick Castle Gardens. We saw the water
features and had a guided tour of the garden. We went to the tree
house and some of us met the duchess of Northumberland in the
gardens
4. In the afternoon we had a very English picnic in the rain by
the side of the castle in Bamburgh. We visited the castle and
then travelled to Seahouses for a boat trip around the Farne
Islands. We saw some puffin, cormorants and a colony of
seals in the water. It was very blustery!
