2. KFCP Kalimantan Forest and Climate Partnership
Government of Indonesia and Australia collaboration for REDD+,
manage under IAFCP (Indonesia – Australia Forest and Carbon
Partnership). The project cover 120,000 hectares in Central
Kalimantan Province, Indonesia.
REDD+ is an approach to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by
providing incentives for forest users based on the value of the
reduced emission. And KFCP aims to show how REDD+ can work in
practice through:
• Demonstrating emissions reduction
• Demonstrating emissions estimations
• Demonstrating benefit sharing options
• Supporting local REDD+ institutions

4. Progress so far
The program was piloted in 2010,
with about 75 men and women in
two villages participating in the
farmer field schools. KFCP also
organized a multistakeholder
workshop on ways to improve the
rubber value chain.
Said one local rubber farmer of what he gained from the farmer
field school, “With these new skills, I now have confidence to sell
rubber directly to factories. I am making Rp 18,000 per kilo
instead of Rp 5,000 as before”.
