Sherlock shot size powerpoint
1. Wide Shot
This shot is a Wide Shot which is used as an establishing shot,
the point in the shot is to show the surrounding area and to
set the scene, and in this case the scene is in a restaurant. It
gives you an idea of type of scenario the scene is going to be.
2. Medium Close Up
This shot is a Medium Close Up shot, the purpose of this shot
is to get closer to the person which shows more emotion and
helps you relate to the character more. A Medium Close Up
shot is from the shoulders to the head which gets you close to
the character.
3. Long Shot
This is a Long Shot which is taken from a distance but focusing
on a certain person, it’s used to show action between the two
people in the distance. With the Long Shot you can see the
whole body of both of the characters which are in our focus.
4. Mid Shot
(it breaks the 180 degree rule!)
This Mid Shot is showing the top half of Sherlock's body, it shows
the body language of the character which could give an
impression of how they are feeling. This shot also breaks the 180
Degree Rule as it switches from different sides of the two
characters, you can tell this by the way they change sides and the
background changes.
5. Close Up
The Close Up frames the person you are focusing on, in
this case it’s focusing on Sherlock. Close Up shows
emotions of the character by being right in close on their
faces, which helps you to relate to how they are feeling.
