Statement of the Problem<br /> This proposal is principally concerned with the study on sexual orientation of gay men individuals; the beginning and societal judgment.<br /> Specifically, this study seeks to answer the following questions:<br />1. What is the profile of the participants in terms of:<br /> 1.1 age;<br /> 1. 2 educational attainment;<br /> 1.3 birth order;<br /> 2. When is the time that you feel and observe something different in yourself?<br /> 3. What is the observed social judgment done by the society to the kind of sexual orientation you have?<br />
  10. 10. Assumptions<br /> This investigation presents the following assumptions:<br /> 1. There is still widespread discrimination exists, despite the fact that gay men individuals are accepted in a society. <br /> 2. Mostly, gay men homosexuals got aware of their sexual orientation at adolescence.<br /> <br />
  11. 11. Significance of the Study<br /> Societal Judgment is inevitable to every society especially when it’s against to a certain norm or culture in a society. Common misjudgment form due to little knowledge on a person’s lives. With this study, a deeper notion and understanding to gay men homosexuals may form and the possible beneficiaries are:<br /> Gay Men Homosexuals. Their types of sexual orientation are disgust by other individuals that lead to some Gay to hide their identity. This study will impart to the perspective of Gay Homosexuals that being Gays are not rejected in a certain society though prejudice and discrimination exist. How they function and as a part of society matters on how others judge them.<br /> Family Members. A Family holds a special importance in the development of every individual (Top Online Magazine, 2008). This study would provide information that would help family members having gay men homosexual to know them better and make some adjustment on how to deal with them. <br />
  12. 12. Peers. Due to peers a child or individual who’s sexual orientation is homosexual tend to act straight and hide the real him. With this study, Peers of specific Gay be able to adjust that despite of the Sexual orientation, Gay have they would still be given peer acceptance and equal rights.<br /> Community. This study will give insights to the community, hence it affect the identity of the participants and their degree of cohesiveness, on how Gay Homosexuals struggle from their discriminations and judgments. This study would provide information that would help the family members having homosexual child or children to know them better and make some adjustment on how to deal with them.<br /> Researchers. This study able to give answers to the researchers on when a individual know that he/she is gay man homosexual, and the different societal judgment. The study will someday give additional information and would help the future researchers.<br />

Scope and Limitation of the Study<br /> The study focused on the time when an individual know and feel that he/she is a gay man homosexual and the different views or judgment done by society based on their hold sexual orientation. This study have no intention to discussed or enumerate the root cause/s of gay men homosexuality. Furthermore this paper does not tackle on the impacts of the social judgment done by society.<br />

Chapter 2METHOD<br /> This chapter comprises the research design, the participants, the instruments, the data gathering procedures and the data analysis upon conducting the research.<br /> <br /> Research Design<br /> The study done by the proponents employed the Descriptive-Qualitative Research approach using Descriptive Research Design. This kind of research design is appropriate because it describes the sexual orientation, its beginning and the societal judgment.<br />
  15. 15. Participants<br /> Gay homosexuals age from 12-64 years of age particularly, adolescent young adult and middle adult, that are currently residing at Cabadbaran, Agusan del Norte, were the participants in the study conducted by the researchers.<br /> <br />

  17. 17. Instrument<br /> The study will make use of the two sets of instrument, the Profile Questionnaire and Interview Guide, as the primary tools of the research study. A profile questionnaire is a research instrument consisting of a series of questions regarding on the personal profile of the participants such as the age, educational attainment, occupation and birth order, for the purpose of gathering information that might affect the outcome of the study. While Interview Guide helps you shoot interviews that are technically strong and visually beautiful, it is done by a meeting in which one or more person’s question, consult, or evaluate another person.<br />
  18. 18. Data Gathering Procedure<br /> The proponents started gathering the data after the adviser approved the proposed study. The research was done as follows: (1) the research identified the kind of research design to be use for the study. (2) The research started gathering information from different references containing topics related to study. (3) After gathering some related resources, the researchers gave two sets of questionnaire to three Gay men homosexuals from the stage of development particularly adolescence, young adulthood and middle adulthood.<br /> <br /> Data Analysis<br />The following statistical tool was used in analyzing the gathered data:<br />Frequency Count and Sample Percentage Distribution. These tools over used for describing the participant’s profile.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
