This news article is a review of the performance from more than 200 young pupils from
Tollbar Academy, Cleethorpes Academy and Reynolds Academy all of which are part of the
Multi-Academy Trust. The concert took place early in December 2014.
This news story is ideal for our radio station because it is a local story about three local
schools coming together to create a
Christmas concert. This news story meets
the needs of our listeners because most of
the listeners would be parents who are
interested in hearing about the school
events in the local area.
For this news article we could potentially
interview some of the children involved in
the production and ask them question
related to their experience. We could also
interview audience members asking them
about their time at the concert and
opinions. Another person we could
interview is one of the event organisers
asking them of their intentions.
One news value of this article is
personalisation. We think this because
allot of people will be interested in hearing about their child/family members concert
because people are interested in people. Another news value would be unambiguity
because this is a positive event taking place. Meaningfulness would also be a news value
because most people would find this interesting because it is news revolving the local
