communications are efficient as
they are capable of transmitting
signals directly from the radio
device unto other stations.
Generally, there are two types of radios being used until today namely VHF radios and HF radios. VHF
radios use very high frequency and are typically used for communication in short distances. VHF
radios work on the Line of Sight method and this implies that the transmitting deice should virtually
see the receiving device and that there should not be any obstacles like mountains and tall buildings.
On the other hand HF radios transfer signals on high frequency and are intended for broader
distances and allow parties to communication even if they are thousands of miles away. As a
communication system, radios especially VHF radios have to be used properly.
When using this type of radio, you should understand and familiarize yourself with the etiquette of
communicating through radios. If the message is long, you may have to divide it into short messages
easy to understand. Today, the use of radio as a means of communication remained to be very
popular even if people have already been provided with a lot of other devices. The efficiency and the
reliability of radios allow them to be considered very important still even today. It is even more
appropriate to the need of organizations nowadays because of the fact that DMR trunking is
possible. This means that the quality of the call and communication is further enhanced. One can
expect to receive much clearer message or information because of this.
