An example of email tutorial support on a student’s action plan
1. An example of email tutorial support on a student’s action plan
Hi Sandra,
I am well, thank you and yes, it's freezing here too.
This is a really useful action plan – you’ve clearly put some thought into it and
have worked out a useful strategy. I’m a great believer in plans like these – they
help give direction and focus.
You have listed some practical and realistic ways of finding editing work, and I’m
sure you will get some responses after a while. It’s important to keep plugging
away, a little every day, so you’re constantly putting yourself out there. You may
need to persevere and be patient, though.
I think your biggest challenge at this stage will be integration. Make sure your
artwork/ colours /design with your blog / Facebook / Twitter / signatures etc all
match one another. If you get this wrong at the start, it’s a pain to correct later.
Also, try to limit the number of platforms you use, otherwise it can get unwieldy.
We only started using Google+ this year.
I notice you haven’t attached a timescale to the action plan. It might be worth
considering it. And also add your course studies to it, so you see the course and
your other activities as one package rather than two separate entities.
I put my action plan into my Outlook diary, with daily reminders for a few days
before each due date.
But otherwise, good - a practical plan that is certainly achievable and in time,
will produce results.
I wish you the best with it.
Best regards,
Cleland
