positive iodoform = can be methyl ketone and methyl alcohol
=> the compound has to be methyl alcohol => H3C-HC (OH)-CH=CH-CH2-CH3 ( this can be one of the isomer)
(b) positive Schiff\'s = should be aldehyde
positive Bisulfite test = can be aldehyde or methyl ketone
negative iodoform = cant be methyl ketone and methyl alcohol
=> the compound has to be aldehyde => HC (=O)-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH3 ( only posibility)
(c) Negative Schiff\'s = cant be aldehyde
Negative Bisulfite test = can be aldehyde or methyl ketone
Positive iodoform = can be methyl ketone or methyl alcohol
=> the compound has to be methyl ketone => H3C-C(=O)-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH3 ( only posibility)
