For Marketing Your Startup
So how do you start off with
marketing your product without
sounding a “lot of sales”?
You begin with Blogging.
Blogging is perhaps the easiest, most
successful way, to market your product to
the right customers. This not so modern
technique of indirect marketing helps a
startup to reach its target audience and
expand its reach globally. Using blogging
the right way will not help you build a
market base for your product or service
So with that in mind, here are some tips
that you can use to increase your online
engagement and reach a potential
audience using blogging.
Focus on Your Audience
Before writing a blog, you must have a very good
idea of both the customer and the problem.
Research your target audience well before outlining
a blog post.
Listen to Your Audience
Always read the comments and other feedback
you received on the blog. Also, remember to
answer relevant comments.
Increase Engagement
A related tip is to generate engagement on the blog
through contests and giveaways. A simple giveaway of
your product/service could result in the extensive
marketing of your brand to the widest possible audience.
This brings me to the next tip.
Go Social
Connecting the blog and social media channels is
easy and could be done in minutes. Once done,
anything you publish on the blog gets pushed to all
subscribers to your social media channels.
Develop a Consistent Style
Be funny, witty or serious! Whatever style you wish to
adopt, make sure that it is consistent across your blog
posts. This is a very powerful tip for developing a loyal
audience for your blog, and consequently for your brand.
Have a Pitch Package Front-and-Center
Create a sidebar widget that sends the visitors to a
well designed and presented pitch package. You
never know who reads the package and decides to
invest in your startup
Don’t Lose Hope
It is important that you stick with the task and keep the
blog alive regardless of the poor traffic that you might
receive on the blog. If you spend enough time and efforts
on a blog, it will grow into a well-known representative of
your brand.

your startup. Just make sure that
you research your ideas, take
readers’ feedback into account and
keep at it!

  • 2. So how do you start off with marketing your product without sounding a “lot of sales”?
  • 3. You begin with Blogging.
  • 4. Blogging is perhaps the easiest, most successful way, to market your product to the right customers. This not so modern technique of indirect marketing helps a startup to reach its target audience and expand its reach globally. Using blogging the right way will not help you build a market base for your product or service
  • 5. So with that in mind, here are some tips that you can use to increase your online engagement and reach a potential audience using blogging.
  • 6. Focus on Your Audience Before writing a blog, you must have a very good idea of both the customer and the problem. Research your target audience well before outlining a blog post.
  • 7. Listen to Your Audience Always read the comments and other feedback you received on the blog. Also, remember to answer relevant comments.
  • 8. Increase Engagement A related tip is to generate engagement on the blog through contests and giveaways. A simple giveaway of your product/service could result in the extensive marketing of your brand to the widest possible audience. This brings me to the next tip.
  • 9. Go Social Connecting the blog and social media channels is easy and could be done in minutes. Once done, anything you publish on the blog gets pushed to all subscribers to your social media channels.
  • 10. Develop a Consistent Style Be funny, witty or serious! Whatever style you wish to adopt, make sure that it is consistent across your blog posts. This is a very powerful tip for developing a loyal audience for your blog, and consequently for your brand.
  • 11. Have a Pitch Package Front-and-Center Create a sidebar widget that sends the visitors to a well designed and presented pitch package. You never know who reads the package and decides to invest in your startup
  • 12. Don’t Lose Hope It is important that you stick with the task and keep the blog alive regardless of the poor traffic that you might receive on the blog. If you spend enough time and efforts on a blog, it will grow into a well-known representative of your brand.
  • 13. These ten tips just scratch the surface of what blogging can do for your startup. Just make sure that you research your ideas, take readers’ feedback into account and keep at it!
