Gas generators have extensively used to improve the energy
efficiency through cogeneration installations usually running with
NG.
It is still a technology which could potentially help in the
decarbonization of many sectors such as industries, airports,

électrolyseurs de forte capacité

Avec son unité à Suzhou ( Chine) John Cockerill dispose - d’une capacité de production
de 350MW et de plus de 1000 références dans plus de 30 pays
Avec son DQ-1000 de 5MW pour 1000Nm³H2/h John Cockerill dispose d’un stack de
forte puissance, déjà vendu à plus de 30 exemplaires. Le stack de 1200 Nm³ a été
développé, il a été vendu pour la Mobilité lors des Jeux Olympiques 2022 en Chine.
John Cockerill a lancé son projet de Gigafactory en Alsace sur le site d’Aspach. Les
cellules y seront fabriquées ( usinage, soudage, traitement de surface , assemblage
des cellules). Le montage final se fera à Seraing ( pour des raisons logistiques – pont
lourd requis). 1ère production T2-2023
Le développement industriel s’accompagne d’un gros effort de R&D. Une forte
collaboration est en place avec le CRM en Wallonie, et avec des partenaires
Flamands. Idem pour le développement commercial : de nombreux avant projets sont
suivis. L’équipe H2 a grossi de plus de 60 ETP à SERAING.

Columbus: un projet ambitieus en Wallonie
la production de e-méthane à partir de CO2+H2
§ Un partenariat stratégique avec Engie et Carmeuse
§ Produire un méthane de synthèse à partir de CO2 capturé au
four à chaux et d’hydrogène vert (75 MW d’électrolyseur ), tous
deux injectés dans un procédé de méthanation . Carmeuse,
John Cockerill et Engie apportant chacun l’une des briques
technologiques:
§ CARMEUSE: une technologie de four en oxy combustion , avec CO2 très
concentré dans les fumées
§ John Cockerill: avec ses électrolyseurs alcalins de forte puissance
§ STORENGY : une technologie innovante de bio catalyse porté par une start-up
§ En sortie : ce seront 900,000 tonnes d’émissions de CO2 qui
