What Are the Benefits of
    Concrete Pumping?
In virtually every construction project, concrete plays a
major role in the strength, stability and durability of the
finished structure. Concrete is what gives stores, bridges or
office buildings the integrity to withstand years of use and
exposure to the elements.

sites, concrete pumping is a
common way to place the
concrete where it needs to
go. Here are some of the
main benefits of concrete
pumping.
Time is of the essence in any construction project, and the
fact that concrete pumping can save a lot of it is a huge
benefit. With concrete pumping, the time it normally takes
for concrete to be mixed and sent to the right location is
reduced dramatically.

Also, time will be saved because the crew doesn't have to
clear the way for concrete trucks to get to all the different
locations concrete is required.
A productive crew and construction site benefits everyone
involved in the project.

With concrete pumping, crew members can be working on
other aspects of the project, because they don't have to use
shovels and wheelbarrows to move the concrete where it

to spillage and less time required for cleaning up.

fewer employees are required when compared to the
standard way of doing things. Fewer employees means

There is less heavy lifting involved, and the fact that the

A concrete pump is basically a machine that is used to
transfer liquid concrete by pumping it from the truck to the
location it's needed. There are two types of concrete
pumps:

 Boom pump - these are self-contained units that consist of
the frame and a truck. They have a long reach and are often
used to pour concrete in high up or hard to reach locations.
 Line pump - these are portable units that are versatile and
able to pump structural concrete, plus mortar, shotcrete,
grout, wet screeds and foamed concrete.
Concrete pumping is commonly used for things like:

 Residential projects like walls, foundations and patios.
 Agricultural projects like sheds, barns, silos and bunkers.
 Civil projects like hydro stations, water treatment plants or
  bridges.
 Commercial or industrial projects like high rise buildings,
  ice rinks, strip malls and factories.
