I’m in Stockholm, attending the Annual Global Meeting of IIC Partners. It’s always an interesting gathering of people; members of the board of IIC Partners, the CEOs, founders, and leaders of the individual search firms that are the members of IIC, and an inspiring array of speakers.
One of my goals of being here is to meet up with Paul Dinte, Founder and CEO of Dinte Executive Search. A firm that has been around over 25 years, operating from the Washington DC area but actually, covering the world.
I want to understand from Paul how he started and what he learns from working on a global level.

Meeting Paul Dinte in Stockholm
2. Paul, can you share your story with us?
Of course, happy to!
As you probably can tell from my accent, I was born and raised in Australia. I spent the second half of my life in the United States, while working and traveling the world on a more
or less continuous basis…
You know, in Australia we refer to that as a Walkabout, and I haven’t stopped my walkabout for the last 35 years.
And here we are in Stockholm, attending the IIC global partners meeting. IIC Partners is an organization made up of more than 500 consultants, across 54 cities across the world.
The network provides us with a platform to support our clients, no matter where they are in the world, and bring them the right leadership capability to run, build and further grow
their organizations.
3. So how do you collaborate with the different IIC Partners?
Well, we are based in the Washington DC area, but we work closely with our partners whom I know really well having been part of this network for 20 years now.
I have also had the opportunity of serving as its global chairman. It is in that capacity that I've learned to understand how cultures revolve around the world.
And how our clients leadership teams need to be built with a high sense of diversity.
We are able to introduce different kinds of leaders that our clients need to transform their businesses, make them more digitally-oriented and make them more open to the new
ways of doing things.
As business grows and evolves, I think as an organization we've been very successful in helping clients no matter where they are in the world.
Most recently we’ve finished assignments both in Singapore and the UK and could not have done this work without the help of our local IIC Partners.
I also understood that you build long-term relationships with clients, can you share something about that?
We believe that our marketplace positioning and our customer first approach enables us to build very strong relationships with our key clients.
Actually, what we've found over the years, is that our clients become candidates and our candidates become clients.
This mean that the deepness of the relationship is continued to endure and continued to be built upon great work that we do with our clients and candidates.
But at the same time we understand their needs, their personalities, their cultures and their styles.
The winning ingredients for successful leadership are based on many capabilities and competencies.
In the end, for us it's about culture, it's about fit, it's about chemistry, and it's about the ability to evolve and develop new leaders within organizations.
