Productivity Tools Word processing tools in the foreign and second language field, some things it can be used for are; creating journals, describing experiences, oral reports and research projects. The benefits of using these word processing tools are it helps students internalize word meanings and gives additional practice in using the new words, it gives practice in following oral English direction and reading and responding in written English and builds listening competence. Word processing programs support correct usage with grammar checks, correct spelling, and reminders to employ good style.
6. Multimedia Software Multimedia software is designed to support language acquisition and vocabulary development. Interactive books give students the opportunity to interact in English authentically in a less stressful environment than face-to-face. Leapfrog is a series of handheld computer games designed to give students at all levels practice in math, science, social studies, and languages. Language labs provide students with a recorder, video monitor, and computer, it has very interactive activities. Radio broadcasts give learners practice in oral and written language.

Virtual field trips provide students with opportunities to go places that would be impossible for them to see otherwise.
