See new product ranges from 9 Indonesian exporters. Select from our materials library, combine techniques and textures from one or more exhibitors. Come and explore Indonesia in hall 1 Ethnic Chic, stand A88/ B87 of the Maison & Objet trade fair! Kees Bronk and Irene Vermeulen of Craftscurator are welcoming designers, buyers and interior decorators to come and explore Indonesian crafts. In the stand, you will find stone and marble table pieces by Mitra Bali, all fairly-traded. Dyrt Design are working with recycled billboard vinyl, and have made hand-woven poufs and bean bags out of this material. They have co-created a range of furniture with Prima Putra, furniture makers working with reclaimed, FSC certified teak wood, that has been beautifully crafted. Putri Ayu are presenting a range of recycled hand-formed glass vessels on drift wood bases, while Lawe created a range of cushion covers and throws made of hand-woven cotton fabric in traditional Indonesian patterns. Aneka Tusma have boxes, stools and rugs out of hand-woven natural fibres on display. They have also invented a unique and new ikat technique. Maharani Craft's 'jewellery for the home' concept makes use of petrified wood, sea shell, and semi-precious stone. At the fair, they will show a selection of exquisite door knobs. Golden Coco are manufacturers of furniture and home accessories from SVLK-certified wood, using intricate inlay techniques. Nancy Living by Nancy Craft presents a range of premium rattan basketry and forgotten wood bowls, all handmade using natural materials and SVLK-certified wood. Meet nine Indonesian companies dedicated to sustainable values. See their individual collections, translating the region's roots and traditions into contemporary designs. Explore the materials library, full of swatches of the best materials and techniques, and create new products on the spot! Many of the businesses are certified fairtraders and social enterprises. From flat-pack shipping, to traditional hand-weaving techniques, to empowering local artisans: each aspect of production is designed to maximize design value and contribute to a more sustainable home. Each company has gone through an intensive Export Coaching Programme by CBI, a Dutch government agency promoting imports from developing countries into the EU. They have received training in export management, marketing and design and are thoroughly aware of the requirements necessary to succeed in the European marketplace. Kees Bronk has coached these nine companies to develop their business and prepare for this trade fair. Irene Vermeulen has coached the companies in product development and marketing. Together, they connect global crafts exporters to EU importers, and will be hosting the CBI stand hall 1, A 88/ B 87 at Maison & Objet. Get in touch to find out more, or to sign up for a curator's tour! info at crafts curator.com This project is supported CBI - Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Netherlands Enterprise Agency
