Amazon has a multi-step process for handling customer orders. An order is placed and then processed at an Amazon fulfillment center where the product is picked, packed, and shipped to the customer. Any damaged or incorrect items result in replacements being sent or refunds issued to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.

The starting page in Amazon.com where you click on either ‘Sign in’ if you are a member or ‘Start here’ for new customers across the top. On the left is a listing of the different departments.
The sign in page.You enter your email address in the first spot. If you are a member the ‘Yes, I have a password’ radio dial will automatically be selected in the second section, just enter your password. If you are new, click on the ‘No, I am a new customer’ radio dial.
If you enter the wrong email address or the wrong password an error message will appear above the ‘Sign In’.
If you are a frequent visitor they build a product list. They also have recommendations based upon what was previously purchased or even viewed. On the bottom is the where you can search the other areas. There is even a category for refurbished and used items.
Once you have decided amazon will show you other items you may be interested in. If you decide to purchase something else you select Edit shopping cart.
If you decide to add another item, delete the present one or put it on hold for another time, you can. If you are ready to purchase it select Proceed to Checkout.
If you are a member you will reenter your password. If you are a new customer you can create a password later.
This is the Shipping and Payment screen. For members your address will be listed in the far left-hand corner. If you are new or choose to have it delivered to a different address, this is located on the same page. Once the address is entered select Ship to this address.

This is the page you enter your credit card number, gift card or even checking account number if you are a member. From this point you will confirm your credit card number and shipping address. Once everything is in order and finalized you will receive a confirmation email of your order and when it is due to arrive.
