  4. Describes the vision and strategy Provides a guiding document for executing the strategy Gets internal stakeholders in alignment Facilitates discussion of options and scenario planning Helps communicate to external stakeholders, including customers A GOOD ROADMAP
  5. HOW TO ROADMAP
  6. User stories are the smallest units of work …a few sentences in simple language that outline the desired outcome USER STORIES
  7. As a <type of user>, I want <goal> so that I <receive benefit> As a customer, I want to be able to create an account so that I can see the purchases I made in the last year to help me budget for next year. USER STORY EXAMPLE
  8. Epics are feature-level encompasses many user stories IT’S EPIC!!!
  9. A list of all things that needs to be done within the project START WITH A PRODUCT BACKLOG
  10. Customer priority Urgency of getting feedback Relative implementation difficulty Symbiotic relationships between work items (e.g. B is easier if we do A first) PRIORITIZATION
  11. BUILD YOUR ROADMAP
  12. Brainstorm all the things that have to be completed to launch your product STEP 1
  13. Organize your list into EPICS i.e. categories (Signup, Website development, Purchasing etc.) STEP 2
  14. Streamline your list STEP 3
