Hearth & Home Magazine Press Release Page 24 of 25 DecoflameUSA UL Approval As previously released, Decoflame USA has attained UL approval on their entire wall mounted, bioethanol fireplace units. Decoflame-Canada had attained the CUL approval as well. As of this release, Decoflame USA and Decoflame Canada are currently the only wall mounted, bioethanol fireplaces in North America with this approval. The key features of UL approval include; clean burning, bioethanol fuel that will burn to a minimum of 98%, and that the flames are always in a controlled environment (Decoflame uses glass doors). It also states that a significant breeze will not impact the flame in the unit, and in case of fuel over flow, the burner can withstand 35% over flow. The heat of the unit must be able to be dispersed in order to prevent wall overheating. Installation standards indicate that the unit, and the wall brackets, when installed, must be able to withstand a 150 pound impact or pull in any in any direction. Decoflame USA and Canada meets or surpassed these rigid requirements and remains the industry leader in this category.
