This Maths presentation has been prepared by the student of class VI of MPS, Shalimar Bagh.

$MEANING OF A FRACTION When an object is divided into equal parts, each part is called a fraction of the object. This circle is divided into 4 equal parts. One of the 4 equal parts which is separated is written as ¼ and named as one-fourth.$

$Fraction has 2 numbers. Number above the line is called NUMERATOR and the number below the line is called DENOMINTOR. Ex. In fraction 1/8 1 is numerator and 8 is denominator.$
