2. CLIPCO is a non-profit foundation Our biggest goal is to raise money to pay for your child’s bilingual education (program needs), as CUSD does not pay for the Chinese portion. We DO NOT decide on what to fund – we just raise the money for the priorities created by the CAC (CLIP Advisory Committee) CLIPCO also provides community events to bring our CLIP families together. What does CLIPCO do?

4. CLIPCO funds the Program Needs, prioritized by CAC. The priorities are discussed, budgeted, and then approved by the Meyerholz and Middle School CACs, not CLIPCO. CAC is comprised of the principal, teachers, and parent representatives. Parents are encourage to attend CAC meetings to give input. Examples of Main Program Needs: Curriculum development, duplication, and Chinese textbooks CLIP teacher adjunct time and professional development Instructional Aides Technology CLIP Art

5. G&A expenses include: liability insurance, tax accounting services, taxes, bank & credit card fees, dues, duplication for election ballots, newsletters, printing, postage, miscellaneous supplies, etc. CLIPCO has Operating Expenses --general and administrative activities.

The Direct Give Campaign asks each family to donate their child's share of their CLIP education. 97%of your donation goes directly towards the "Program Needs" as budgeted by CAC. 3%goes to pay for the G&A expenses. CLIPCO also holds fundraisers throughout the year to defray some G&A costs. Dining for Dollars CLIP Art Aucton Tshirt Your donation of $500/$250 is how CLIPCO funds the Program Needs (I) and the Operating Expenses (II).

7. Direct Give Campaign is our biggest fundraiser. The majority of these funds pay for your child’s bilingual education. Your donation to your child’s education will make a difference this year. All CLIP families should donate to pay for their child’s share of the CLIP educational expenses. $500/child at Meyerholz, $250/child middle schools How does CLIPCO raise money?

8. ASEP SF CNY Parade Spring Banquet Chinese Language Contests. All costs are covered by participant fees, and sponsorship. We do not use donated funds! CLIPCO also has Non-Program functions under its umbrella.
