I have been the lead computational linguist on the GATE team since 2000, and have developed many of its language components. GATE, the most widely used language engineering toolkit in the world, is developed at the University of Sheffield.
Current fields of research interest are information extraction, social media analysis, opinion mining and sentiment analysis, NLP tools for the semantic web.
