6. According to a World Bank Study* there are over 400 to 500
million SMEs & startups in the world & this number continues to
grow.
In India alone, there are over 50 million SMEs & startups that
employ over 110 million people. The government, recognizing
the potential of this segment, has launched a number of
initiatives aimed at furthering the cause of SMEs such as
‘Startup India’, ‘Make in India’ as well as a number of schemes
such as credit guarantee for collateral free loans, loan subsidies
on technology upgradation, & so on.
In the UK alone over 5.7 million
In the USA the US Census Bureau says there are 32m SMEs.
While their growth & potential are enormous, a vast majority of
these businesses face complex & often insurmountable
challenges: a lack of business connections, limited awareness of
digital tools & best practices, limited staff, lack of timely
information, & poor funding & economies of scale.

change their entire company to accommodate new technologies.”

when done wrong, all you have is a really fast caterpillar.”

“There is no alternative to digital transformation. Visionary companies will carve out new
strategic options for themselves — those that don’t adapt, will fail.”

26. A business model 10x growth base on JV
Innovation is all about the process of taking ideas from
inception to impact while solving problems.
Businesses have to focus in an impact for 10x rather
than 10%,
The method we have found most successful in
catalyzing this level of value creation and
transformation for a traditional corporate is to partner
with proven tech entrepreneurs within a joint venture
(JV) vehicle to rapidly grab new market opportunities.
Entrepreneurs are unlikely to want to work directly for
an incumbent corporate, but they value their assets
(customers, cash, IP, networks).
So, incentivized by an equity-based JV structure,
entrepreneurs can leverage these assets to rapidly
grab new, strategically relevant market opportunities
before others do.

28. Redesign your whole business “system”
with platform thinking.
All aspects of your business have to
support and reinforce each other.
All your business dynamics need to keep
changing, adapting and learning.
Be problem solving and adapt and
change continuously.
There is no other way!

the Fourth Industrial Revolution

29. 1. Increasing adoption of JV digital operating models, including integrated
cross-functional teams.
2. Executive education, network, digital change management increasingly
more important.
3. Big data governance and analytics players leapfrog their competitors and
absorb industry sectors.
4. Increase use of blockchain, AI and machine learning tools.
5. Continued centralisation of merger and acquisition activity in the tech
outsourcing industry.
6. Consultancies forming new digital partnerships.
7. Expanding public cloud and blockchain solutions adoption.
8. New digital transformation success metrics based on .
9. More attention to long-term value of integration of digital IP & initiatives.
