Project Goals:
Provide spaces that facilitate interactive and
educational experiences in sustainable local
food production.
Objectives:
• Provide opportunities for children and the community to learn the process of food production.
• Promote awareness for the importance of locally grown and produced food.
• Create opportunities for all ages to experience diversity in lifestyles, people, and their natural
environments.
• Develop accessible and adaptive botanic environments for inclusion of physically challenged community
members.

3. Site Location & Inventory

The site was approximately 7.3 acres and located among rural homes and
is currently used as an alfalfa field. The image below is the inventory of
the site which depicts the different physical elements throughout the area.

4. Pre-Design
I designed this park with hopes that upon seeing and experiencing these gardens the
community may be inspired to volunteer their time to help maintain the site and
encourage future generations to pursue a more sustainable lifestyle.
