Class Expectations(or, How to Be Successful in this Course) It is your responsibility to be in class on the designated days and for the entire class period! Unless otherwise indicated by the instructor, cell phones, pagers, beepers or any other "attention-grabbing" devices are to be turned off before class begins. It is distracting and discourteous to both the instructor and your colleagues. If you are expecting an important call or page during class please make arrangements to handle the situation in a manner that is not disruptive to the classroom process.
Class Expectations(or, How to Be Successful in this Course) Attendance counts! Attendance is directly calculated into your grade. For every class missed, your grade can drop five points. Three unexcused absences will cause your grade to drop by one letter. Yes, you must purchase the textbook!
Class Expectations(or, How to Be Successful in this Course) Regularly check Blackboard and your Coppin e-mail. I routinely send e-mails and update class information. Check your grades! It is your responsibility to know your academic status in this course. YOU WILL NOT DO WELL IF YOU DO NOT STAY CONNECTED TO BLACKBOARD!
Class Expectations(or, How to Be Successful in this Course) Submit assignments on time!It is to my discretion to accept and grade late assignments. If I choose to accept a late assignment, a grade penalty will occur. Submit assignments the proper way. If assignments are submitted incorrectly, then it is left to my discretion to grade it.
