3. WHAT WE DO?
SOS Animal was founded in 2005 and was legally
constituted as an NGO in March 2007.
Our main activity is focused on companion animals. In
particular, providing veterinary care and treatment as well
as sterilization for abandoned and mistreated animals.
SOS Animal promotes the adoption of the animals that it
rescues from the street and also animals rescued from
kennels and catteries.
SOS Animal also encourages and promotes the respect for
animals through educational campaigns, intervention and
raising awareness of the problems associated with animal
mistreatment and abandonment.

8. WE HAVE A DREAM
Create the 1st Social Hospital for Animals to:
accommodate the animals at risk in the municipality of
Lisbon
abandoned animals in charge of the association and other
entities with protocols with SOS Animal
support the animals of people with economic difficulties
incentivize the mass sterilization in order to control the
fertility and thus the over-population of cats and dogs.
Encourage and promote respect for animals through
educational campaigns, interaction and awareness of
the problems of mistreatment and of animal
abandonment.
