2. “62” Add-on Spring Bracket
Brief:
An add-on was needed for a standard Southco latch which prevents
It’s operation unless the door it is attached to is closed correctly. This
Removes the chance of the door not being left unlatched,
increasing security and safety for the customer
Application:
Overhead air-conditioning unit on a train

4. Brief:
A push button version of Southco’s popular R4 latch was required.
As many existing parts should be carried over as possible to reduce
tooling costs
Application:
Storage units in both the automotive and transportation industries.

6. Brief:
A modification of an existing latch was required to allow easy operation on site
for a user wearing gloves. The design must include ample clearance below the
head for access
Application:
Storage units for off highway construction equipment
T-Handle “E3” Latch

8. Brief:
A system was requested which would latch a bed down securely and include an actuator
Which allowed easy access for the user to the storage units below it
Application:
Large truck cabins with overnight facilities for the driver.
