Practical Steps
Shriniwas
       Kashalikar

 Some broad steps are   humbly suggested
here to improve the mainstream education.
The experts can add elaborate details based
on their experience!


 I have great respect for those who are
already involved in the holistic approach of
education in mainstream as well as other
categories (such that for physically and
mentally challenged children) of education.


 Steps
 Start a daily physical fitness training and
practice program.
 Include a variety of physical training
methods to avoid monotony and improve
 efficacy.
 Start a daily sports activity. Add a variety
of sports prevalent in other parts of the
world to make them more interesting,
entertaining and promoting global unity.
 Start a daily psychomotor training activity.
Combine the psychomotor activity with
production and sales so that students
experience empowerment and self esteem
and the school becomes more self sufficient.
In absence of this the students turn out to be
drop outs, child labor or educated
unemployed frustrated and suicidal or
criminal people and corruption breeds like a
cancer. (Cf. 1, 2 and 3.)
 Start daily pranayama in the schools.
 Start a daily prayer, if already not in
practice. Prayer may gradually be coupled
with NAMASMARAN!
 Start daily program of by hearting poems
and songs, preferably from at least a couple
of languages from other countries thereby
promoting global unity.
 Encourage maximum and daily person to
person interaction and dialogue amongst the
teachers and students.
 Introduce and incorporate examinations,
which examine the actual skill, capacity or
performance of the student, rather than his/
her ability of repeating or reproducing
things (hence many time copying from) from
books.


 Tips
 Physical, psychomotor, emotional and
intellectual and spiritual training can be
accomplished with pragmatic base in way
described above. One can make
improvements in the scheme through trial
and errors and learning from others'
experiences.


 Warnings
 The encouragement and provision of
opportunities should not be replaced by
rituals and impositions.
 Every kind of open mindedness and
tolerance should be encouraged, so that
better international relations can be realized.
 Promotion of Learning and blossoming of
teachers is vitally and absolutely important
and essential and urgently required in all
countries apart from India.

 Perspective and conviction of Global Unity
and global welfare
 Readiness to accept and introduce
physiological insights and principles in the
holistic education
 Readiness and openness to have dialogue
with experts in other fields
 Participation from the society and
government in the efforts of everyone
involved in holistic education

inernet websites, so that holistic education
activists all over the world can have a
meaningful dialogue and share views, work
and experiences and may be, inspire others!
