About the workshop leader:
Dr. Jubara Alallah is an Assistant Professor of Paediatrics and Consultant Neonatologist at King Saud bin Abdulaziz
University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS), King Abdulaziz Medical City-Jeddah Ministry of National Guard. She is also the
Director of Perinatal-Neonatal Fellowship Program and Saudi Perinatal-Neonatal Fellowship Program Coordinator (WR, SR
and NR). She obtained her medical college degree from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah; she then obtained her neonatal
perinatal fellowship sub specialist at University of Manitoba, Canada. Dr. Alallah also is a board member of the Saudi
Neonatology Society involved in a lot of scientific activities across the country. She published several papers and she is an
editorial board of Journal of Clinical Neonatology as well as a reviewer in neonatal and paediatric journals. She is the Director
of Saudi Neonatal Resuscitation Program which focuses on basic and advanced resuscitation skills for newly born infants.
She has developed the standard of national neonatal resuscitation program and many simulation courses in neonatal
resuscitation across the country.

Dr. Monika Kaushal is a consultant Neonatologist and Head of Paediatric and Neonatology Department at Zulekha Hospital,
Dubai. She is a licensed NRP instructor and has been involved in teaching nurses and registrars, making protocols building up
the unit reputation across the city and other emirates. She had her fellowship from the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child
Health, UK in 2009. She had her DM in Neonatology from the Prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, India and
Masters in Pediatrics from PGIMER, India. She had 10 papers published in indexed journals and she received the ‘Young
Scientist Award’ at the 13th Congress of the Federation of Asia and Oceania Prenatal Societies in 11th Congress of the
Perinatal Society of Malaysia ion 2004.

About the workshop leader:
Dr. Rajesh Sharma graduated from SMS Medical College, Jaipur, India and then completed MD from Medical College, Ajmer,
India. He was awarded ‘Best Student Award’ for overall excellence in academic and extracurricular activities during medical
school. He moved to the UK in 2002. His first post was at Queen Charlotte and Chelsea Hospital, London in 2002. He soon
joined the 5 year North London Paediatric fellowship to complete his CCT- British Board certification in Neonatal Medicine.
Since September 2009, he worked as Consultant Neonatologist in a tertiary level intensive care unit at Ninewells University
Hospital & Medical School, Dundee, Scotland on a substantive post.
In December 2012, he moved to Abu Dhabi to join largest neonatal unit of UAE-Corniche Hospital with a 64 beded tertiary
level neonatal unit. Dr. Sharma’s area of interest has always been Neonatal Intensive care. He had a year of advance training
in paediatric emergency medicine. He has strong interest in teaching and training which he continue to pursue in form of
lectures, workshops, publications and reviewing articles for indexed journals.
