APPEAL TOOK PLACE ON 31ST
JANUARY 2019

3. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is the
owner of the Zambezi Portland
Cement.
This decision effectively reversed
the judgement at the Lusaka High
Court which took place on May
2018.

4. AS PER THIS LUSAKA HC
JUDGEMENT, VENTRIGLIAS WERE
GIVEN FULL OWNERSHIP OF
ZAMBEZI PORTLAND.

5. However, this decision was
condemned and later the Court of
Appeal reversed the judgement.
Dr. Rajan Mahtani owned Finsbury
Investments is majority
shareholder with 58 percent
shares and Ventriglias owned 42
percent shares and were minority
shareholders.

6. THIS FINAL DECISION IS IN LINE
WITH THE ORIGINAL
SHAREHOLDERS AGREEMENT WHICH
WAS ESTABLISHED IN THE YEAR
2007.

7. All allegations of forgery were
discarded by the judge at the
Court of Appeal.

CLAUDIO VENTRIGLIA ITSELF
ENGAGED IN SIMILAR PRACTICE.

9. Finsbury Investments paid a sum of
K 580,000,000 towards
commercial registration of the
Zambezi Portland at the Court.
This payment was made along with
interest in compliance with the
judgement at Court of Appeal.

10. FINSBURY INVESTMENTS ALSO
CLAIMED A SUM OF K1 BILLION
ALONG WITH INTEREST AGAINST
THE FULL PAYMENT MADE ON 27TH
JULY 2005.

11. This claim was made against the
entire share capital issued
between January 2007 and
December 2006.
While there are few publications
and news channels spreading fake
news after this judgement at Court
of Appeal, the truth is finally out.
